Graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 7th, 2014, at Crestwood Cemetery for Donald C. "Rosie" Copeland, 80, of East Gadsden, who died on Saturday, October 04, 2014, at home. Rev. Frank Samuels will be officiating. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Don was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired after 34 years from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church, where he served with the ushers, security watch, and Brotherhood. He loved his Sunday school and men's Bible study group. He enjoyed fishing, football, and his Jack's friends.
Mr. Copeland is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Frankie Sue Tidmore; sons, Anthony (Rhonda) Copeland, Jeff (Kim) Copeland; daughter, Susan Horton; grandchildren, Sharon (Adam) Traywick, Jonathan (Kali) Copeland, Blake Copeland, Natalie (Tim) Bethune-Ashburn, Allison (Clifton) Reed, Mary Bethune, Stacy Copeland, and J.D. Bethune; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Cason Cline, and Hudson Traywick; brother, David (Margaret) Copeland; and special friends, Donnie Clayton, Jim Runner, and Mike Sullivan.

Pallbearers will be the men of College Heights Brotherhood, men's Thursday Bible study, and Durwood Johns' Sunday school class.
A special thank you to the medical staff of GRMC's MICU, SICU, 8th Floor, and doctors. And a very special thank you to all who prayed for Rosie.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home prior to the service.
