Dianne Nichols Cothran, 74 passed away June 3, 2021 surrounded by loved ones and being serenaded by Elvis. A celebration of life will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1 pm at College Heights Baptist Church in Glencoe, Al. Longtime friend, Bro. Antjuan Marsh will be conducting the service.

Mom lived an amazing life. At the age of 18 she married her soulmate. Dad was the love of her life and they were able to spend 53 wonderful years together. Their 3 children and 5 grandchildren made their life complete and the love they had for each other was a legacy that was passed on to all of us.

Mom loved teaching. After 4 Years of teaching kindergarten at Coosa Christian she decided to go back to school to get her degree in Elementary Education, she then went onto receive her master's degree from the University of Alabama. Her final years of teaching were spent at West End Elementary where she inspired so many students and made lifelong friends with her co-workers.

When mom entered the pearly gates we know she was greeted by dad M.N. Cothran Jr, her parents Almon and Lucille Nichols her in-laws Marion and Josie Cothran, her brother Mike Nichols and all of the other loved ones who had gone on before her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her 3 children, Nikki and Cameron Hardy, Marty and Brandi Cothran and Kim Cothran. Her 5 grandchildren, Krislyn Tidmore, Collin Hardy, RJ Cothran, Cayson Hardy and Cayden Cothran. Her sisters,Margaret Nichols, Susan and Barre Sanders. Her brother Eddie and June Nichols. Her Brother in-laws Joe and Beth Cothran and Bert and Carol Cothran. A host of nieces and nephew as well as great nieces and great nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her students she taught over the years and her WEE family.
