January 22, 1947 – June 15, 2021
Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mr. Dennis Byron Yother, age 74, of Gadsden, who died Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Reverend Jeff Underwood will officiate.
Dennis was an Emma Sansom Graduate Class of 1965. He was an Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and was discharged in October of 1970. Dennis retired in 2001.He enjoyed traveling and time at the lake house with his wife Patsy. He also enjoyed his motorcycles, boats and talking on the Ham radio with his buddies.
He loved his family, and his times with them, especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He'll be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all and will be dearly missed.
He was loved by everyone who knew him and had the kindest sweetest heart. He will be missed, but remains forever in our hearts and souls.
He is preceded in death by parents Delta and Velma Yother, sister Loraine Yother and brother Leon Yother.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Patsy, Yother, daughter Rebecca Riggs, stepson Bobby(Nickie) Pylant, stepdaughter Jennifer(Kacee) Stevens, grandchildren Maximus Arzate, Grant Riggs, Hudson Riggs, Cody(Morgan) Pylant, Kaleigh Pylant, great grandson Kamarii Jenkins, brother Jerrell(Delsie) Yother, sister Sonja Matthews and a host of nieces ,nephews and special friends Rick and Sandra Neal and his Ham Radio Buddies.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to First Church Rainbow City or will accept potted plants.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1 pm, until the time of service at 2 pm.
