Funeral services will be at 3pm TODAY at Crestwood Chapel for Dennis Michael Whiteside, Sr. age 74 of Gadsden who passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 after a long battle with illness. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Whiteside was preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood and Frances Whiteside; brother, Bobby Whiteside; and his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Whiteside.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Michael Whiteside, Jr.; daughters, Karen Whiteside and Cheryl Whiteside; brothers, Jerry (Jean) Whiteside, Doyle (Betty) Whiteside, and Carl (Martha) Whiteside; special cousin, Rick (Kathy) Whiteside; special friends, Perry Glenn and Ed Minton; numerous other cousins and friends and his loyal companion, his dog Shiner.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm Today at the funeral home.
