Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm at Crestwood Cemetery on Friday, November 19, 2021 for Dennis "Wayne" Carter who passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Dennis "Wayne" worked at Gadsden Steel Plant for thirty seven years as a crane operator and loved to fish. He was a Little League baseball coach for forty years and Carter Bailey Field on Noccalula Mountain bares his name.

He is preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Carter, father J.C. Carter, and mother Katherine Morgan.

Mr. Carter is survived by sons Scott (Dawn) and Stephen (Jennifer) Carter, grandchildren Alex (Allie) Carter, Davis Carter, Claire Carter, and Addie (Steven) Sowell, and one sister Annette Carter.

Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. and last until the time of services.
