Della Ann Geurin Hill
December 19, 1938- January 17, 2023

Della Ann Hill, 84, of Foley, AL, passed to an eternal life on January 17, 2023 after a hard fought
battle with cancer.
Funeral will be January 21 st , 2023 at Crestwood Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Visitation will at 2:00
PM. Minister Kevin Smith of Gadsden Church of Christ will officiate. Burial at Crestwood
Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her parents Floyd (Anna Lee) Geurin and son Stacy Hill.
Della is survived by her spouse of 64 years, Jerry Hill, 86, of Bill Nichols State Veteran's Home;
Sons Craig (Laura) Hill and Phillip (Lisa) Hill, Brothers John Geurin, Michael (Wayne) Geurin,
Phillip (Mary) Geruin and Van (Jasmine) Geurin.
She is survived by grandchildren: Melissa (Zack) Lancaster, Michael Hill Jr., Molly (Allen)
Ambrose, Hannah (Drew) Phillips, Emily Hill, Reid Hill, Nathan Hill and Matt Hill and Great
Grandchildren.
Mother was a graduate of Jacksonville State University and obtained a Master's Degree from
UAB. Mother touched and influenced many lives as a teacher where she taught at Glencoe High
School until she retired in 1994. She has helped many people through Church outreach while a
member of the Foley, Glencoe and Gadsden Churches of Christ. Mother had a good life and we
thank her for the many years of toil and sacrifice in raising us boys. A mother's work just never
seems to get done. Now God has given you Peace and the rest you needed. We love you and
will see you again in Heaven.

Isa 40:28  Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the
Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is
unsearchable. 29  He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases
strength.30  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31  but
they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like
eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
