A memorial service will be on August 24, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Ms. Delane Annette Jones, age 63, of Birmingham, who passed away on August 19, 2020. George Pruitt and Pastor Jeremy Auvil from Clearbranch Methodist Church will officiate.

Delane was a phlebotomist and worked in the medical field for many years. She enjoyed her family and friends and loved her cats and Alabama Football.

She is survived by her brother Richard(Marty) Jones, second parents Jack and Mary Mitchell, her nephew James(Ashley) Jones and their children Kilian and Evie,  cousins Leann Kennedy and Mark(Kellie) Mitchell, cousin Josh White and his children Hayden and Phoenix White, her Godchildren Whitney McKenzie, Tyler Bearden, and Matt Matlock, and very special friends Debbie Bearden and Trudy Hall.

Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Eloise Jones and grandparents Sovolah and Oscar E. Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Diabetes Association.

The family would like to issue a special thank you to Gloria Hall and to Debbie Bearden and Trudy Hall for the wonderful friendship that they shared with Delane.
