He was a member of Cross Creek Church of Hokes Bluff. His passion was working on cars, off road riding, spending time with his family and friends. He loved his daughter and his nephews. He was a past member of the Air National Guard, devoted caregiver for his mother, also a big asset to his stepfather in the care of his mother. He always had a smile and a goofy wit, a way of making everyone around him comfortable and happy. He was the best son a man could ask for. He loved his stepmother, Debbie and stepfather, Bill. He was the apple of his grandparents Pat and Jimmy's eye. He was an Alabama football fan to the core.
He is survived by his parents, Gina Cornelison (Bill) and David Ellis (Debbie); sister, Hannah Nolin (Dewayne); daughter, Kara Ellis; nephews, Carson and Kameron Nolin; grandparents, Jimmy and Pat Bartlett.
Flowers will be accepted and memorials may be made to Drug Addiction Resources.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Ellis, Blake Moore, Dewayne Nolin, Adam Smith, Dewayne Ellis and James Miller.
Special thanks to Dr. Padley and the ER staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Brittney Colvard for helping him to finally find happiness.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.
