Funeral was held 11 am Saturday for Mr. David Daughdrill Sr.,age 62, of Boaz, who died Tuesday. Elder Kenneth Watts will officiate. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
He was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He'll be remembered as a hard working family man. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all he met. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert (M-14 Rifle), and the Vietnam Service Medal w/ One Bronze Star. He also loved Harleys and rode every chance he got.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Daughdrill.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Daughdrill and Amy (Jason) Williams; son, David (Kelly) Daughdrill Jr.; grandchildren, Erica and E.J. Teal, Matthew Daughdrill, and Hannah Williams; brothers, Walter "King" (Jane) Daughdrill, Robbie (Shirley) Daughdrill; and special friend Marilyn Clanton.
Pall Bearers were Earl Loyd, James Daughdrill, Stacey Daughdrill, Alan Wade, Alan Pence and Heath Daughdrill.
Eddie Bowen was honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Israel Fund at Noccalula Church of God.

Visitation was held on Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
