David Franklin Bowen Jr. | Visit Guest Book David Franklin Bowen Jr., 40, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. David was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. He was a talented and gifted hair stylist for nearly 20 years. David was very much involved with Locks of Love. He was loved for his sweet spirit and generous nature. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janis Smiley Royal; and his father, David Franklin Bowen Sr. He is survived by his sisters, Tina Whitt (Neal Johnson), Shannon (Seth) Williard; his uncle, Mark (Tammy) Smiley; his aunt, Ludie (Don) Sanford; his uncles, Danny (Barbara) Bowen, Doug (Trina) Bowen; nieces, Hannah, Arin and Serenity Faith Johnson, Emma Nessler and special child, Kira (Kiki) Williard; stepfather, William Royal; special friend for life, Shannon Garrett; and special cousins, Devon White and Lisa Baker. He has a host of cousins and friends. Memorial service will be at Crestwood Chapel on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to David F. Bowen Jr. at Family Savings Credit Union to help with final expenses.
