September 24, 1934 – August 3, 2022
Funeral Service for Dalton E. Bradley, age 87, of Glencoe will be at 3pm Friday, August 5, 2022 at Crestwood Chapel. Mr. Bradley passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022 The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Rev. Randall Crotts will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.
Mr. Bradley was a longtime resident of Glencoe. He had retired from Goodyear after 42 years of service. He was a member of North Glencoe Baptist Church. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and The Atlanta Braves.
Mr. Bradley was active in his church and Community. He was the coach of the first Glencoe Baseball Farm Team. He multitalented and could play both the piano and dulcimer as well do upholstery work. He used his talents to glorify God by serving at times as a music director of a local church and by putting his upholstery skills to use at his home church's original location. Many will remember seeing him walk his buddy, Boots the cat, around with a leash.
Of all his accomplishments, Mr. Bradley was a wonderful husband, father, and Paw Paw.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Cora Bradley and his five brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Sarah Miller Bradley; daughter Joy Bradley Moring; son Jeff Bradley; grandchildren Lindsey Gwaltney (Chance), Kacey Oliver, and Kimberly Damron(Justin); eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Glencoe Police Department and First Responders for quick response, dedication, and concern.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of his Sunday School class at North Glencoe Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 4601 Forbes Blvd- Suite #130, Lanham, MD 20706.
