Dale Mackey, 62, of Glencoe, passed away at home on February 24, 2026, surrounded by family.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Clara Mackey; brothers, Rick and Chuck Mackey; and sisters, Cindy and his twin, Denise.

Dale is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patti Mackey; sons, Dillon (Ashleigh) Mackey and Luke (Katie) Mackey, and their children, Kade and Myka; sister, Rita Bucy; sister-in-law and friend, Dana Abrams; and longtime friends, James and Peggy Beard, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Dale was a gentle, kind, and honest man with a truly genuine heart. He loved his family and friends deeply and showed that love in steady and faithful ways. His great strength and calm presence were a comfort to those around him. He had a quiet way about him, but when he picked up his guitar, you could feel the depth of who he was.

Music was more than just a pastime for Dale; it was part of him. In every note he played, there was warmth, sincerity, and love. Those moments reflected the tenderness and depth of his spirit.

Dale will be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, and the love he gave so freely. Dale was blessed by his church family at Gadsden Church of Christ, where he valued fellowship and community.

Funeral services will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10 a.m. Chris Gallegher and Craig Hill will be officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Mackey, Luke Mackey, James Beard, Drew Chumley, Bobby Allen, and Brent Lang.
