A graveside service will be at 1pm Friday, December 22, at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery for Cynthia Denise Jackson Martin , age 69, of Glencoe.

Cynthia passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.  Josh Martin will officiate . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until 12: 45pm. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

Cynthia was a lifetime resident of Glencoe and a class of 1972 graduate of Glencoe High School. She was also a graduate of Jacksonville State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She enjoyed spending time in the garden, especially growing tomatoes, peppers and other vegetables. Cynthia treasured her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Jennifer Ann Martin; and parents John Frank and Jennie Jackson.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Rodney Martin; children Charlie ( Ashley) Martin and Laura (Blake) Hood; grandchildren Reagan and Mallory Hood and Charlotte and Henry Martin; brother Edwin (Karen) Jackson; sister Rhonda Duke; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Geoffry Martin, Donnie Roden, Blake Hood, Charlie Nelson, Hunter Duke, and Shawn Duke.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of MICU at UAB Hospital for the care given to Cynthia.
