Middleton, Conage Tyler (Doc)
Funeral Service will be at 1pm Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Conage Tyler (Doc) Middleton age 83. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct.
Doc passed away Tuesday morning, January 8, 2008. He was married to Lucille Battle for 62 years and is survived by her and eight of his ten siblings; J.B. (Ruth) Middleton, Manchester , TN; Jack ( Gladys) Middleton, Rosseville, Ga; Gussie Vinson, Jimmie Cooper, Shirley ( Henry) Campbell all of Chattanooga, TN; Barbara Knight, South Pittsburgh, TN; Ruby Ellen (Billy) King, Thomasville, NC; Ann(Wallace) Peoples, South Pittsburgh, TN. He is also survived by his much loved Sisters and Brothers in law, Dink (Marvin) Fisher, Nan(Brelin) Kidd, and Mable (John) Gramling as well as many loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents James and Tennie Middleton and Brothers, Bob and D.C.
He had retired from Republic Steel after 32 years of service as a crane operator. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Throughout his life he enjoyed camping, bowling, fishing, gardening and retirement on the river with his beloved "Cile" and Callie, his cat. His gentle, humble spirit will remain in our hearts always.
The eulogy will be presented by his dear friend, Brother Joe Willmon. Pallbearers will be Marvin Fisher, Bruce Woodall, Lavoy Preston, Mike Fisher, Justin Fisher, and Tom Carden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from Noon until the hour of service.
