Funeral services will be at 1pm Tuesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. C.N. "Nelson" Medders of Gadsden who died Sunday, August 16, 2009. Rev. Frank Samuels will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Medders was the owner of East Gadsden Sporting Goods, was a member and deacon of College Heights Baptist Church, was a member of The Glencoe Masonic Lodge #846 for 54 years, and organized Midget football in Etowah County (now Know as AYFL).
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Helen Medders; son Chuck Medders; daughter-in-law, Dana Medders; grandchildren, Scott, Matt, and Carole Ann Medders.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Armstrong, Patrick Ball, Johnny Bone, Hal Davidson, Lynn Driskell, Bobby Jordan, Neal Kenner, Jimmy Sitz, Kenny Watts, and Troy Word.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of College Heights Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm TONIGHT at the funeral home.
