Funeral will be at 2 pm at Crestwood Funeral Home, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 for Clifford "Ray" Burchfield, age  83 of Gadsden, who died Thursday, March 11, 2021. Joey Gregron will officiate.  Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Ray was known by everybody as the owner of Burchfield Produce. He was a hard worker and loved it, he won the 1966 State Champion Funny Car Racing, he was a  truck driver traveling over the 48 continental United States and Canada,    He had a   wonderful, and clever sense of humor, loving family man and truly loved and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by parents Clifford and Mary Burchfield and sister Patsy, In-laws Mary Lou and David G. Long.

He is survived by wife of 60 years MaryAnne, children Cliff (Gene) Burchfield, Cynthia (Jeremy) Paulauski, Carla Ragan (John) Crow, Grandchildren; Zachary (Emily) Burchfield, Hannah(Lee) Aldridge, Noah Burchfield, Olivia Burchfield, Jacob Ragan, Jason Ragan, Jacey Ragan, William Crow, Great Grandchildren; Kinsley, Maddox, Ellie, Millie, Brothers Paul, Steven, Sisters, Faye, Bobbi, Ramona, a large extended family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12 pm until the time of service.
