Funeral Service will be at Noon Wednesday December 15 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Claude F. "Frankie" Smartt, age 66, of Gadsden who died December 12, 2010. Dr. David Chandler will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct Services.
Frankie was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of North Gadsden Baptist Church. He was a die hard Alabama Fan and was best known by his family as Bubba. He was a very Special loving man and was loved by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Mary Smartt, Brother Gary Lee Smartt, a host of aunts and uncles, and chosen family Jason Norris and Kathleen "Aunt Kat" Mayes.
He is survived by sisters Judy Lawrence (Dwight) and Randa Kay Young (Theral Bellew); special aunt Lucille Lindsay; nieces Kim Bruce (Bart), Brandy East (Michael), and Felecia Young (Josh); nephews James Young and Noah Farlow; a host of special great nieces.
Pallbearers will be James Young, Noah Farlow, Charlie Vaughn, Terry Elrod, Jeff Filmore, Michael East, Tommy Luther, and Theral Bellew.
Honorary pallbearers will Fred Elrod and Boyd Smart.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6pm until 8pm.
