Obituary

Mr. Hare Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Pastor Tim Diggs is officiating the Service. Visitation is October 13th 12-2pm with the service following.
Leon was the Founder of the first ever EMT Program with the Glencoe Volunteer Fire Department and retired after years of service as the Secretary .Mr. Hare served on the Glencoe City Council. Mr. Hare was instrumental in mapping out all the 911 addresses in the City of Glencoe. He retired from Gulf States Steel and the City of Gadsden where he drove the trolley.
Leon was preceded in death by the love of his life, Alma Hare. His daughter Angie, and son Pete, his Brother, David (Vinnie Mae) Hare, and Sister, Amanda (Vondell) Chamblee.
He is survived by his Son, Todd (Annette) Hare, Grandchildren Brittany (Charles) Lindsey, Brandon (Paige) Hare, and Jessica (Tyler) Gillihan. Special Nephews Chris (Andrea) Hare, Dewayne (Gail) Hare and Nieces Anita (Ronnie) Gregory and Pam (David) Sides. Step-Children Joan ( Tommy) Youmans, John ( Gail) Mummert, and Tammy ( Rick) Parkhill  Step-Grandchildren, Paul (Bethany) Johnson, Jeremy (Jill) King, Melinda ( Chris) Brandt, Vanessa Morris, Marcus Mummert, Taylor (Colt) Woodall, Dawson (McKenzie) Parkhill.
Pallbearers will be Richard Johnson, Charlie Hodge, Justin Hare, Jeremy King, David Gorham, and Michael Campbell..
Honorary pallbearers will be the Glencoe Volunteer Fire Department
Special acknowledgement to longtime Friends, Jerry Lay and Charlie Hodge.
The Family would like to Thank Kristie Graham for her many years of love and Friendship. Kristie, your care for Leon surpassed everything.
Thank you to Leon's Niece, Pam Sides, who put her whole life on hold and traveled many States over to care for Leon so he was able to enter Heaven from Home.
