Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Clarence H. Christopher, 83, of Illinois, formerly of Alabama. Pastor Tracy Mayfield will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
He is preceded in death by parents, James and Annie May Christopher; brothers, Leon and William R. Christopher; and sister, Fay Akridge.
Clarence Christopher was born in Calhoun County, Alabama. He was a caring, loving husband, father and friend. If you got to know him, you had a friend for life who would help you with anything. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a Christian and showed it by how he lived. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Hazel Bernice Christopher; sons, Thomas Christopher, Michael and special friend Delta Agrela; daughter, Barbara (David) Brimer; sister-in-law, Margaret Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
