Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crestwood Chapel for Charlie Alan Gladden, 29, of Glencoe, who died Friday, March 14, 2014. Minister Blake Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Charlie Alan Gladden was born in Gadsden in 1984. He was a graduate of Glencoe High School Class of 2003. He was a member of Local No. 498 United Association of journeyman and apprentice Plumbers and Steamfitters and for the past two years was employed by Thomas and Betts. He enjoyed watching Glencoe football and baseball. He had a love for the sport and coaching the youth of Glencoe. All who knew him loved him and considered him part of their family. He was always there to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His special hobbies were working on Fords, riding his dad's Harley and going to the river in the ski boat. Charlie was a hard worker and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.
Charlie was preceded in death by grandparents, Hazel Gladden, Undine Wade, the Rev. Jesse Wade, Charlie Cornell Gladden; and aunt, Kay Fleming.
He is survived by father, Alan Gladden; and mother, Rosalyn "Rossie" Wade; brother, Jordan (Jessica) Gladden; niece and nephew, Layla Nicole Gladden and Connor Dettloff-Lamunyon; and approximately five years ago, Charlie met the special love of his life, fiance Jeannie Latham. Charlie found love, comfort, support and dreamed of a future with her and her special children, Chloe and Ethan Latham. He is also survived by aunt, Reba Wade; and special cousin, Tyler Fleming; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chris "Dobby" Dodson, Tyler Kirchner, Mitchell Buel, Lynden Sapp, Patrick Gray, John "John Boy" Wilson, Adam Gray, Landon Ball and Tyler Fleming.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 until 8 p.m.
