Graveside services will be 11 am Friday April 6 ^th at Crestwood Cemetery for Charles Anthony Vincent, age 66, of Gadsden, and New Orleans, who died March 24, 2018.Reverend Fred Whitt and Reverend Kenneth Malone will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is announcing.

Charles departed this life after a lengthy illness on March 24, 2018. Charles married Betty Simon Vincent in 1976.He graduated from McDonogh #35 High School, in New Orleans and received his B.A. from Southern University in New Orleans. He taught and retired from Marrero Middle School in The Jefferson Parish Public School System. Charles was a veteran having served over 20 years in The Louisiana Army National Guard.

He is preceded in death by parents Leroy Alton Vincent Sr. and mother Selma Theresa Anderson Vincent.

He is survived by wife Betty Simon Vincent brother Leroy Vincent Jr.(Willien),Sidney Vincent, sisters Sheila V. Young (Arnold Sr.),  Valerie V. Hicks(Joseph Jr.) , Kendra Vincent and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to UAB Birmingham, Dr. James Johnson, Alacare of Gadsden, Riverview Hospital ,Gadsden Regional Hospital, friends and family who provided prayers support and words of comfort.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9 am until the time of service.
