Charles (Sonny) Patty, Jr. 70, of Gadsden, died Thursday, August 31, 2017. His funeral will be Friday, at 6 P.M. in Crestwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lauril Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday 5 until 6 P.M.

Mr. Patty retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 36 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army and a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Shane Patty and Brent Patty (Tressa); brothers, Randy Patty (Linda) and Mark Patty (Kem); sister, Charlotte Lorren (Ken); grandsons, Dakota Patty and Christopher Patty.

Preceded in death by wife, Martha Jane Patty; parents, Charles David Patty and Edna Earl Elrod Patty.
