Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mr. Charles "Chuck" Morgan, Sr., age 48, of Naples, FL. (formerly of Gadsden), who died on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Bro. Bob McLeod and Major Carl Tilley will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Chuck grew up in North Gadsden and attended Gaston High School and North Highland Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamster's Union. He was also a member of the Salvation Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Nathan Morgan Sr.; brother, William Nathan Morgan, Jr.; grandparents, Fred and Ida Morgan and his aunt, Sue Kilgore.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Thomas Morgan, Jr. and his wife, Amanda, Jeffrey Dustin Morgan and his wife, Ashley and Jonathon Blake Morgan; mother, Jean Morgan Payne; grandchildren, Alexis Morgan and Coleman Morgan; and sisters, Sabrina Fells and her husband, Randall, Nathany Standridge and her husband, Jerry and Stacy Harris and her husband, David;adopted brother, Nathan Scott Morgan; he was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randall Fells, Jerry Standridge, David Harris, Cayle Standridge, Matt Harris and Jared Clem.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
