Memorial service will be held 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Oak Grove Baptist Church of Glencoe, for Charles Ray Jenkins, 74, Wellington, who died August 18, 2009, Pastor Ricky Luallen will officiate.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Glencoe, he was a retired truck driver for Spring Valley-Tysons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn and 3 children by a previous marriage, Susan Renee Jenkins, Michael Ray Jenkins and Stacy Eugene Jenkins, sister, Johnnie Massingill, Jasper, AL, Wanda McClendon, Pinedale Shores, Ashville, AL, Joyce (Randy) Parker, Albertville, AL, Melba June Jenkins, Garden City, MI brothers, John C. (Gail) Jenkins, Carlisle, AL, Jimmy Wayne (Betty) Jenkins, Benton, KY and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to nurses and staff of 9th floor Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Dr. Kenny Smith, Dr. Echezerri and Dr. Peter Szeto.
