Mr. Charles "Benny" Crist age 82, of Gadsden, AL (former resident of Wapakoneta, OH)  died on Saturday October 15, 2022. Benny will be remembered as a kind ,caring, generous, and loving family man, and would do anything for anybody.  His passion was fishing with his friends. He was most comfortable in his white t-shirt and jeans. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #57, and The Wapakoneta Eagles #691. He worked for many years as a service technician for Sears Roebuck and Company where he took an early retirement in 1995, and moved to Gadsden, AL where he worked a few years in construction. He is preceded in death by parents William and Pearl Crist, Brothers Robert Crist and Richard Crist, and granddaughter Meagan Miracle.

He is survived by wife Linda (Schmidt) Crist, 2 children Todd Crist and Misti(Matthew) Miracle, grandchildren Courtney (Miracle) Cain, Tyler Miracle, Logan Miracle and Abigail Crist, great grandchildren Alayna Miracle, Colton Miracle, Corey Cain, Saylor Cain, Skylin Cain. Sister Elizabeth Frederick, and Brother Roger Crist. Memorial services will be held Saturday October 29th, 2022, at  Pine Grove Baptist Church, 903 Green Valley Rd., Glencoe, AL beginning at 1:00 pm with lunch to follow. Pastor Kenneth Jacobs will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Lung Association or to a Veterans Charity.
