Funeral services with Military Honors will be 11 am Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Cecil Eugene "Bean" Wright age 84 who died Monday August 18.Brother Lawrence Patterson and Brother Steve Hart will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
He was born and raised in Alabama City graduated from Emma Sansom High School, served in the Korean Conflict as a United States Marine. He loved coffee, ice tea, breakfast at Jacks, fishing and Alabama Football. He met Linda the love of his life while they worked together at General Time. He was a member of Railroad Avenue Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by parents Johnny and Marie Wright Sisters Barbara Housler,"Cherry" Wright and brother James Wright.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Wright, daughter Catherine Giles Compton, grandson Brandon Giles, son Cecil Eugene Wright Jr. a grandson and granddaughter all of Garland Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Steve and Patricia Hart and his cousin Mary who served as his nurse in the CCU unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center and Betty Joyce Kirk.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 9 am until the time of service.
