Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 for Mrs. Cathy L. Holliday, age 57, of Jacksonville, who passed away on December 25, 2021. Kevin Guffey will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Holliday will be remembered as the sweetest person who made a lasting influence on so many people. She was a caregiver and always thought of others before herself.  She was employed at Ohatchee High School and loved all of her kids there. She loved camping and hiking and was an avid camper all over the southeast. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt who will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father Joe Gattis, grandmother Dessie Williams, and step father Steve Hendricks.

Cathy is survived by her husband Russell Holliday, daughter Rachel (Steven) Bailey, grandson Thomas Bailey, mother Bonnie Hendricks, sister Renee Willis, mother in law Kathy Cochran, father in law Elton (Sandra) Holliday, nephew Jeff Willis, and numerous other extended family and friends.

The family would like to issue a special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, and especially to nurses Heaven and Alex who took such great care of Mrs. Holliday.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until the time of service.
