Funeral services will be at 3pm Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Brenda Thomas Hardeman 57 of Gadsden who went to be with The Lord Jesus Thursday November 25, 2012. The Reverend Jeremy Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home in charge of services. She was preceded in death by her parents Lyverel and Tacie Thomas and twin sister Glenda Thomas. She is survived by husband Claude Hardeman and Sons Will and Jesse Hardeman, uncles Jim Foreman and David (Linda) Thomas and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hardeman was a native of Gadsden Alabama. She graduated from Gadsden High School Class of 1973. She Graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Chemistry and Biology. She worked as a Medical Technologist at Dr. Andrew Brown's office in Gadsden. She later returned to Jacksonville State University where she did graduate work before teaching Chemistry and Science at Westbrook Christian School for several years, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as President of Women in the Church. Mrs. Hardeman was married to Claude for 37 years. Brenda loved her family and her church. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite vacation destination was Gulf Shores. The family would like to express thanks to Gentiva Home Health Care and especially to her therapist Josh McKenzie for his encouragement and work, and to Gadsden Etowah Ambulance Service. Pallbearers will be Don Hardeman, Dan Hardeman, Tim Clemmons, Kenneth Teele, Dan King and John Hardeman The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
