Bobby Lee Garrett | Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Crestwood Funeral Chapel for Bobby Lee Garrett, who was a lifelong resident of Gadsden and who had recently been staying at the home of his son, Robert. The Rev. Steve Lucy will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services. Mr. Garrett retired from the 152 Armor Alabama Army National Guard with 41 years of service, and retired from United Food and Commercial Workers. He worked at the following community grocery stores, Krogers, Piggly Wiggly, Big Apple Foods, Burton's and Johnson's Giant Food and was co-owner of JB Janitorial Services with the Rev. John H. Brothers. He was a member of North Gadsden Baptist Church. Bobby was preceded in death by his wives, Dolores Annette Light Garrett and Mary Magdelene Garrett. He is survived by his sister, Lorene Garrett, Gadsden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Karen Garrett of Boaz, and Charles and Linda Garrett of Warrior; three stepchildren, Nathaniel (Buddy) and Diane Chambliss, Georgia, Robert (Peanut) and Debbie DuBois, Louisiana, and Roxanne and Mark Mayer, Louisiana; grandchildren, Craig and Rebecca Garrett, Kristy and Mike McCullars, Christopher, Adam, Brian, Timothy, Austine and Lawson Garrett, Shannon and Shane Chambless, Brandon DuBois, Rand and Woody Goodly, Roy Finley, Russell and Ann Caldwell, Kristin Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.
