Funeral services will be Friday 2 pm, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mr. Bobby Gene Bright, age 92, of Glencoe, who died December 30 ,2023..Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Bobby lived a long life. and was thankful for his daughter Deana and son in law Kenneth Sholar, and his special grandson Orrin Sholar who shared his love of Alabama Football.  for their help in his last days. He wanted to say a special thanks for "Putting up with him" to all of the gentlemen at BriarMeade Golf Course. You gave him fun stories ,memories and good times. Bobby was a graduate of Gadsden High and served in the United States Army.
He loved Glencoe and Alabama Football,western movies,dogs  and coaching his son's baseball. Pallbearers will be Rickey Armstrong, Neal Keener, Chuck Medders, Eric Ray, Craig Colvard and Frank Barnes.
Special thanks to Hospice of Gadsden,Shelbi,Brandy and all the nurses who helped so much. Bobby is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Bright,son David Bright of Punta Gorda Florida, sister Margaret Lawrence, parents Ava and Louis Bright, step sister Ovell Wester,step father GradyWester.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 pm until the time of service.
