A celebration of life will be at 3 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Crestwood Chapel for Bobbie Swicegood, 82, of Gadsden, who entered Heaven Wednesday, January 27th, 2016. Eddie Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Bobbie was a longtime member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. She loved her church family, loved gardening, especially flowers, loved her family and friends. Time with her sisters and grandchildren was especially meaningful to her. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vera Cornutt; one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, "Pete" Swicegood; children, Vicki (Joey) Bowers, Brad (Nicole) Swicegood, and Stacy Rumore; grandchildren, April (Chris) Berry, Brett Bowers, Brittney Swicegood, Angelika (Dwight) Savage, and Garrett Rumore; great-grandchildren, Sam, Shawn, Chloe and Zoey; sisters, Linda Stein of New York, Doris Bryant, and Bonnie Goss-Abel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Special thanks to our Dad, "Pete", who gave us years of extra time with Mom due to his loving and special care for her.

The family will accept friends from 1-3 PM, Saturday, prior to the service.
