Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Billy Earl Riddlespur, age 83, of Gadsden, who passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The service will be officiated by Reverend Tommy Marshall, and burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery.

Billy will be remembered for his deep love of animals, particularly his dogs, as well as his beautiful flower beds. He retired from Flowers Bakery, where he served as a dedicated truck driver. Above all, he cherished his family, who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, his daughter Angela Steepleton, and his grandson John Smith Jr.

He is survived by his girlfriend Brenda Barns, his children Pam Smith, Gina (Ed Brown), and Billy (Nena) Riddlespur, along with his grandchildren Jay, Lea, Chrystal, Weslee, and Jessica, and his great-grandchildren Brantley, Alaina, Riley, and Madison. He also leaves behind his siblings Martha (Gary), Barbara (Charley), Tammy (Brian), Theresa, Julius, Danny, Robin, and Joey, as well as a large extended family.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Bailey and the staff of Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
