Funeral services were held at 2 PM, Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at Crestwood Chapel for Billy Gene "Bull" King, 75, of East Gadsden, who passed away Monday, January 12th, 2015. Rev. John Dickinson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of directing services.
He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1958. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 31 ½ years of service. He was a member and deacon of East Gadsden Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bobbie King; stepmother, Martha Wood King; and stepbrother, Kenny Wood.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rebecca Leath King; daughter, Melissa King; brother, Tommy (Merleene) King; niece, Kerri (Buddy) Mullins; great nieces, Victoria and Olivia Mullins; and sister-in-law, Betty Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Gadsden Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be John Walker, Wayne Culver, Cecil Faulkner, John Faulkner, Ray Worley, and Kenneth Cooley.
Honorary pallbearers are Bro. Bill Harbison, deacons of East Gadsden Baptist and members of Bob Waters' Sunday School Class.
The family would like to show appreciation to all those who have ministered to us during his illness. Special thanks to Amedysis Home Health and Amedysis Hospice, Dr. Saythan Iyer, Dr. John Pirani, and Dr. Olga Bogdanova.
The family accepted friends from 12 until the time of the service on Thursday.
