Funeral will be 12 noon today at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Billie Dean Gulledge Sims age 90 of Glencoe who died Wednesday May 25th. Brother Clay Spears will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
On May 25th The Lord called our mother home to be with our Daddy. Mrs. Sims was a lifelong resident of Glencoe. She was a member of Glencoe First United Methodist Church and a charter member of W.M.U. Before her marriage she was employed at Glencoe Air Depot. After marriage she was a homemaker who was an accomplished seamstress. Mother's life was devoted to her family raising three daughters who gave her grandsons whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles Jerome Sims, son in-law Nolan Smith, parents Frank and Theora Gulledge, brother Joe Frank and Wayne Gulledge, sisters Aloise Wimpee and Frances Suter, sisters in-law Ruby Elam, Geraldine Gilchrist and Inez Partlow.
She is survived by daughters Charlotte Smith, Angie (Don) Smith, Jennifer(Ronnie) McClendon, grandsons Craig( Dawn) Smith, Charlie( Jennifer) Galliher, Terry(Tracy) Galliher, Eric(Shea) Johnson, Evan Johnson, Grandaughter Cristal SmithOwens,9 great Grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild.
Flowers will be accepted or donations to the charity of your choice.
