Funeral will be 1 pm Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Billie Brasher Beggs Hand of Rainbow City who died Wednesday. Reverend Scott Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Hand was a Goodyear retiree with over 28 years of service. She loved golf in her younger days and developed a love of crappie fishing in later years. She was an excellent cook and loved gardening especially flowers. She was also an avid reader and member of First Baptist Church of Rainbow City. She was a loving wife ,mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by husband William L. Beggs , parents Cecil A. and Thelma Brasher, sisters Joyce Henson and Joan Franklin and brother Cecil A. Brasher II.
She is survived by husband Tommy Hand ,daughter Becky(Phillip) Haynes; stepdaughters Krista Williams ,Debbie Hand, Theresa(Fred) Bornhausen and Sherry (Kevin) Welch. Beloved grandchildren Casey Haynes, Kaleigh Williams, Peyton Williams and her rescue dog Charlie whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11 am until the time of service.
