Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery for Beverly J. "Maw" Tucker, age 82, of Alabama City, who died on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Rev. Robert Washington will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Alabama City United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Tucker and two sisters, Ruth and Nell.
She is survived by her son, Clay Tucker; daughter, Barbara (Roger) Phillips; grandchildren,  and Scott (Teresa) Phillips; great grandchildren,  and Dylan Beavers; her special pets, Jellie and Lil; and several nieces and nephews.
In-Lieu-of-flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Alabama Kidney Association at P.O. Box 264, Gadsden, AL. 35902-0264.
