Mrs. Bernice Fricks Gidley, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. Funeral service will be held at Crestwood Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Rev. Gary Baswell will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services, and burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luny Fricks and Jim Gidley; parents, Webb and Claudia Brown; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Hester and Meredith Moore.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Brown (Angela); children, Maurice Fricks (Sarah), Deborah White (Ed), Donna Cox (Kevin), Karen Means (Larry), Judy Cleghorn (Terry), Mark Gidley (Tammy); grandchildren, Patsy Moore (Ray), Michael Fricks (Sheila Colston), Kala Morgan (Alan Scott), Kelly Mason (Billy), Brent White (Rachel), Megan Graves (Greg), Gabbie Himes, Brent Means (Jenny), Tanya MacMillan (Michael), Tera Cabri (Daniel), Ashley Cleghorn, Heather Gidley, Taylor Gidley, Heather Ramsey (Calvin), Jasmine Himes; and many loved great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gidley was a member of North Gadsden First Congregational Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be members of her family.
