Funeral service will be at 1pm Thursday February 1, 2024 at Crestwood Chapel for Barbara "Ann" Smith, age 72 of Gadsden. Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Ann will be remembered as being always on the move, rather feisty, somewhat outspoken, and may have loved animals more than people. She dearly loved her family and they loved her. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Wayne Smith, Son Pete Bigbee; brothers Bob Gilbert and John Gilbert; and sister Frances Clark.
Ann is survived by her children Kelley (Marshall) Brock and Brent (Melissa) Smith, Chris (Christie)Smith, and Kenneth (Joey) Smith; grandchildren A.J., Elgin, Zack, Lance, Beth, Chad, Caleb, Kelisha, Alex, Crysa, Justin, Katie; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers Jack Gilbert and Ray Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11-1 on Thursday at the funeral home.
