Funeral services will be at 12 noon Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Barbara J. Prince age 68, of Glencoe who died Friday, April 4, 2014. Revs. Vince Whittington and Keith Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Prince was a member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe, where she taught kinder garden for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Kermit and Helen Gore; and sister, Patsy Wright.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wayne L. Prince, Jr.; son Wayne L. Prince III; daughters, Carrie (Micah) Brown, and Katie (Bert) Phillips; grandchildren, Jade Brown, Josh Brown, and Maddie Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Jon Prince, Jeremy Fisher, Brandall Wright, Patrick Wright, Tony Armstrong, Ron Womack, and Jeremy Griffin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Armstrong, Billy Jack Gray, Bill Lusk, and Duy Nguyen.
Special Thanks to Lawley Hospice, Dr. Jason Ayers, Dr. George Robinson, Dr. Bryan McGwier, Pulmonologists and Oncologists, and the MICU and SICU staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
