Mrs. Audrey "Faye" Payne, age 93, of Fort Payne, passed away on March 1, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Crestwood Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ronald Case. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Faye was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing her grandchildren and renowned for her generosity—always prioritizing the needs of others before her own. A diligent worker, she retired from a career in retail sales. Her culinary skills were exceptional, with her Spanish Steak being a family favorite. Faye was a committed Christian, practicing her faith within the Baptist tradition. She was beloved by all and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sonny Sims and Niles Payne; daughter, Phyllis Diane Sims; parents, Leonard Austin and Ruby Mosley; and siblings, Grady Mosley and Lorene Sharpe. Faye is survived by her children: Philip Sims, Pamela (Ronald) Tilley, and Paula Throneberry; grandchildren: Melissa, Christi, Scott, and Emily; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, with another on the way and sister Linda(Clayton) Peek.

The family extends special thanks to Cherokee Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
