Funeral services for Arthur Harold Sims, age 88, of Gadsden, who passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Crestwood Chapel. Rick Maroney and Jerry Mims will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Mr. Sims will be remembered first and foremost as a devoted Christian who deeply loved the Lord and his church family at Railroad Avenue Baptist Church.

He was an avid fan of Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball. A talented woodworker, he was admired for his craftsmanship and dedication. More than just a role model, Mr. Sims was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Evelyn and Jean; his son, Danny Sims; and seven siblings.

He is survived by his sons, Keith (Karen) Sims and Randy Sims; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Jane Clayton; and a large extended family.
