Annie B. Badgett, age 97, of Glencoe, Alabama, went to her heavenly home on November 17, 2022. Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Crestwood Funeral Home followed by visitation.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Badgett, parents Sandler and Oscar Booker, sister Josephine Booker, brothers Samuel Hubert Booker (Sara Lou) and O. R. Booker (Margaret).
She is survived by her daughters Joyce Mueller, Jane Love (Robert), and Jackie Blackburn (Charles). Grandchildren Amy Carlisle (John), Heather Billeaud (Neil), Clay Kimbrough (Cassie),Jared Love (Jeanne Anne) Charlie Blackburn (Nicole), and Danny Blackburn. Great grandchildren Violet and Scarlett Carlisle, Kennedy and Adler Kimbrough, Ramsey Hare, Cole Blackburn, and Nora and Tucker Love.
She was born and raised in Glencoe. After graduating from Glencoe High School, she worked at the Air Depot. On October 18, 1946, she married her sweetheart Earl. They were married for 68 years. After marrying they moved to Decatur where they raised their three daughters. They were active in their church and made lifelong friends there. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. After moving back to Glencoe in 1982, she and Earl enjoying working in the garden together growing vegetables.
She loved all of her family. She was a fighter to the end with honor, courage, faith, and humor. We now remember her in love, her life from start to end. Just so glad we knew her as mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend.
