A memorial service will be held Tuesday 1 pm at Crestwood  Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Christine Alton, age 88, of Gadsden, who died Sunday August 12, 2018. Dr. George Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery, Walnut Grove. Crestwood Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Alton was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Alton, parents Charles and Cora Smith, son Larry Davenport and grandson Brandon Whitt.

She is survived by her daughter ,Patricia(Barry) Parker, sons, Phillip (Scharlin) Davenport, Kenny Davenport, grandchildren ,Blake(Cathy) Stephens, Kristal(Mike) Whitt, Roxy              ,Patricia Davenport, P.J. Davenport, Eric(Krissy) Davenport, Michael Davenport and Chris Davenport, several great and great- great grandchildren.
