Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Althea Slocum Clough, age 87, of Hokes Bluff, formerly of Michigan, who died on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Brother Hank Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Laura McKenzie; husband, Albert Jay Slocum; son, Albert Jay Slocum, Jr.; brother, Orlaf McKenzie; sister, Rozie Potter and husband, Boyd Clough.
She is survived by her sons, Melvin (Debbie Gamblin) Slocum and Gordon (Jan Watson) Slocum; daughter, Karen Slocum Hamilton and Donald Sims; 6 grandchildren, Terry Jay and Beth Slocum, Tyler Slocum, Stacey and Shannon Slocum, Jason and Jenara Henry, Coni and David Maltbie; 10 great grandchildren, Cameron Seth and Sebella Henry, Hudson and Erica Waters (Luke), Alexandria, Nathan, Caroline and Matthew Slocum and Gavin Slocum.
In-Lieu-of-flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Comes By Hearing Ministry, at 2421 Aztec Road N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87107.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Slocum, David Maltbie, Jason Cameron, Seth Henry and Hudson Waters.
