Altha Jeannell Twilley
Funeral Services for Altha Jeannell Twilley will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Crestwood
Chapel. Friends and family will gather at 1 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Jimmy
Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

Jeannell is preceded in death by her parents Remus and Alma Twilley.

She is survived by special cousins Betty Cole and Patricia Day, several distant relatives, and many
special friends she loved as family.

One of her greatest joys was was meeting at the Glencoe Senior Citizens center the eat, the Gadsden
Library, and various businesses she frequented on a daily basis. Each of these places had friends who
were very special to her and made her feel very blessed. Blake Borders, her special help-mate and
friend, was especially dear to her and made her life easier. It gave her great joy to share beautiful flowers
from her yard to her special friends and associates.

Jeannnell also enjoyed the Gadsden High School Class of 1956, especially the women's breakfast
group, who met monthly for many years . She often hosted the GHS group at Christmas in her home.
She never forgot her beloved Wagner Elementary School and East Gadsden Junior High School and the
happy memories shared there. Jeannell was an avid fan of Alabama atheletics.

Jeannell had a lengthy and brillant career with the government and had been stationed at both the
Pentagon and in Atlanta. She later was employed with Morgan Funeral Home for many years.
