Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for Aileen D. Baswell, 71, of Gadsden. She went to be with Lord on July 2, 2008. Rev. Virginia Collie will officiate. Burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home is in charge.
She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Lookout Mtn.
She is preceded in death by her infant grandsons Jonathan and Jeremy Baswell, her parents Frank and Ola Mae Pruitt, sisters Bonnie Lee, Lora Yates, Dorothy Gladden, brother Lonnie Pruitt, brothers-in-law Jerry Payne and R.C. Yates, sister-in-law Irene Pruitt and nephew Bobby Godsey.
She is survived by son, Alton (Tina) Baswell Jr., daughter; Angie (Lane) Ayers. Grandchildren Chris and Scott Baswell, Chelsea and Chandler Ayers. One great-grandchild, Jaden Riley Baswell. Brother; L. C. (Mae) Pruitt. Sisters; Ruby Payne, Leola Gladden, Dolly (Terry)Brown of Gadsden, Pauline (Calvin) McCullough of Collierville, TN. Chosen special sister Virginia (Clifford) Collie and family. Special friend Rachell Givens and daughter Christie. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
