Funeral services will be on Monday December 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home for Mr. Achaia Heath, age 95, of Gadsden who passed away on December 16, 2020. Tim Diggs will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Heath served two years in the Navy aboard the USS New York. In World War Two, he fought in the island invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After his time in the Navy, he attended Gadsden State Trade School for two years. He retired from Polluck Motor Co. where he worked as a transmission specialist.
He is survived by his sons Steve(Janice) Heath and Tim Heath, grandson Paul(Rebecca) Heath, and special niece Josephine and Harris Smith.
Mr. Heath is preceded in death by his wife Martha Heath.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearer will be Harold Smith.
